hey, I read your posts on the outing, well, there are actually a lot of nice hawker food around downtown area, and some are very cheap and affordable.
I can recommend you nasi lemak at golden shoe market or tanjong pagar market, they are nice too.
and of course, there's amoy market near tanjong pagar too, one of the teh tarik stall is recommended by makansutra
and about more interaction, maybe you guys can like switch tables after makan then can interact with different people la...
